What Are The Current Stances of People of Color?

Let us make one thing clear: planet Earth is our home. The word "our" has multiple definitions because it is tailored to one's ideology and cultural stance.

I define "our" as a word that encompasses every single human being: Black, Asian, White, Indian, Native Hawaiian, and everyone else. Ever since the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020, Asian hate has increased nearly two to threefold. As a member of the Asian community, I ask everyone to respect and research topics before making assumptions. Have we not learned from our past? Do we not know the difference between morals and dishonor? As a global community, we should support each other to raise a stronger and better generation of children, not teach them division or separation. It pains me to say that our society as a whole is traveling backward because of one's idea of "self-superiority". I understand that one should be proud and think that is the best; however, how can one be superior if they are harming others physically and mentally?

Similarly, another community that has been persistently targeted with hate is the Black community. I have seen people make racist jokes towards Black individuals in schools, hospitals, workplaces, and most importantly, on the internet. Regardless of what one may believe, we should all agree that we are humans with characteristics, personalities, emotions, and work ethics. Degrading any of these human characteristics can cause great harm at a global level to everyone. Some may argue that racism isn't as bad as it was in our past history. To those people, I question, "If you don't show racism does that mean you are not racist? It is how you feel inside that shows your true intentions right?" I know too many people who advocate for equality verbally but not physically.
World reflection *not self-reflection*
So, have we as a society truly evolved for the better?
What are the current stances of people of color?
Have we boxed ourselves in, and thus do people of color have alternative routes?

In a utopian world, we could make choices without force and create changes that benefit everyone. Even just ceasing to think about racist jokes and harmful words can change history. Changes in outward appearance have been achieved by historical figures such as MLK, Ruby Bridges, Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, and Rosa Parks. But who will change the inner acceptance? You, me, we, and us can. Advocate and spread the wisdom of the word "our" through day-to-day conversations, your own posts, and even educating others in an educational setting. We cannot alter change unless we become that change.

Here is an excellent article about how to further protect your rights. https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/discrimination-on-the-basis-of-race-ethnicity-or-national-origin
It is sad that this is still an issue
